UN Consultant Rates

  • “This level is typically used for (i) the university graduate with some pertinent experience or (ii) for an administrative or technical specialist with many years' experience of a quasi-professional nature.”

  • “This level is considered to be the normal level at which the vast majority of the Organization's consultants are employed. It is used for the consultant who is highly trained and has long experience in one of the technical/administrative fields of the Organization. His/her recommendations, for example, may form one of several contributions to the accomplishment of a specific project of a comparatively narrow scope.”

  • “This level is used infrequently and is reserved for the consultant who is known world-wide as a top authority in his specialty. His/her mission may result in operational activities involving large commitments of staff and funds.”

Based on the 2010 numbers and descriptions, which we prefer because it’s fewer categories with more straightforward explanations

Borderless Ambition does not recommend consultants adhere strictly to these numbers without also assessing your tax, travel, office, software, and other expenses first
